Navalia 2020 is postponed to October 27, 28 and 29

Vigo, 03-13-2020.- Given the evolution generated by the expansion of COVID-19 worldwide and the measures implemented by the Government of Spain, the management of the International Fair of the Naval Industry, NAVALIA, has decided postpone the eighth edition of the event, scheduled for the next May, and move its celebration to October 27, 28 and 29.

The Board of Directors of Muéstralo, the organization of the event, considers that it is essential to guarantee the health of exhibitors and visitors, as well as the contribution to the containment of the virus. These two premises must be above the celebration of any event. We can assure you that the measure has been rigorously analyzed by the organization, after evaluating various options and taking into account possible future international restrictions that may affect, mainly, the closure of airports and / or borders and the mobility of people in general. . We want to let you know that in order to make this decision, we have also consulted the majority of the members of the Navalia Executive Committee, all of them highly knowledgeable in the naval sector, to offer them the best solution.

For the organization, this postponement supposes, as it could not be otherwise, a setback difficult to foresee in a normal situation and that has no precedent in the modern era. We understand that some exhibitors may encounter inconveniences in the change of dates, although we also ask for understanding and patience in the coming days in order to solve the problems of adaptation to the new situation.

We want to think that the measures being taken by the different governments, as well as the social responsibility of citizens, will be effective and capable of mitigating this pandemic. On the other hand, we think that this global break, which has multiple economic and social consequences, will many companies have to pick up momentum once it is over. That is why we believe it convenient to offer them a minimum of six months so that they can organize themselves and we hope to count on your support.

The International Naval Industry Fair, Navalia, was born with an iron commitment to the sector, and since its first edition it has not stopped growing. We have tried to be better in each edition and the decisions that have been made throughout these years, such as the one that concerns us now, have been for the good of a sector that we love and for which we have fought since our beginnings. For all these reasons, we are at your disposal to solve all the doubts and inconveniences that may arise and we appeal again to your understanding in the coming days to give you the best answer. Our staff will be able to contact each exhibitor in the coming days. We reiterate our sincere thanks for your support and we hope to have all of you at NAVALIA 2020.
