Galicia is again the first naval power in Spain after five critical years

The naval is a cyclical and unstable by nature sector, and it is even more so in Galicia, where it has been more than five years since there was a peak in activity such as that recorded during the first half of 2017.

The community’s private and public shipyards have been showing signs of recovery for months, something that has been verified in the ability to incorporate a new workload.

Proof of this is that in the first half of the year 8 of the 17 contracts for new ships signed in Spain were signed (another 6 went to Asturias and the remaining 3 to the Basque Country).
